More than 85 women “Returned for Revival” at CPC on Friday, Aug. 25, for the Women’s Ministry Fall Kickoff.

After enjoying salads and desserts from The Daily Bread, women took part in worship, led by Karen Choi and Sarah Esswein, and were inspired by a brief devotional message from Women’s Ministry Co-Director Allie Vining. The rest of the evening was divided between five 15-minute breakout sessions which emphasized the idea that returning to the Lord is what leads to revival in our lives.

“We designed each session to demonstrate how we can, in our everyday, busy lives, seek to return again and again to the Giver of Life,” explained Women’s Ministry Co-Director Lynda Loyd. Topics included prayer, journaling, creativity, physical well-being, and meditation on scripture. “Our hope is that women would leave feeling refreshed and with some new tools for seeking the Lord as we kick off the fall semester,” Lynda added.

Women’s Fall Bible Study is on Tuesdays at the church, from Aug. 29–Nov. 21, at 9:30 am and 7:00 pm. For study options, see the Events Calendar or contact Allie Vining or Lynda Loyd.
