Songwriter's Group
On the first Wednesday of each month we host a Songwriter’s Group. Anyone interested songwriting is welcome to attend, whether you are an experienced writer, or just interested in learning about it.
The goal of this group is to encourage writers by giving them a safe place to share ideas with a supportive community. Guest writers are often brought in to share their thoughts on the creative process and discussion time is always balanced with time for participants to share their latest work.
Each year the group is featured in one of Chesterfield Presbyterian Church's Coffeehouse Concerts as a chance for writers to share their work with a small audience in an intimate setting.
The Songwriterʼs Group meets in the Fireside Cafe at 7:00 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month, except during summer months of June, July, and August.
